Highwood Harbor, led by Jordan Mazzetta, has officially acquired the assets of Nova Seafood Ltd, a well-respected seafood processing and distribution company.
As part of the acquisition, Nova Seafood Ltd will transition into Nova Seafood LLC, maintaining its operations, leadership, and commitment to high-quality seafood products. Founded and operated by Angelo Ciocca and George Branco for nearly 35 years, Nova Seafood has built a strong reputation in the seafood industry.
Both Ciocca and Branco will remain involved in the newly formed entity, ensuring a seamless transition for employees, customers, and vendors. “We are thrilled to welcome Nova Seafood into the Highwood Harbor family,” said Jordan Mazzetta, owner of Highwood Harbor.
“Angelo, George, and their team have created an incredible legacy, and we are committed to maintaining the high standards and quality Nova is known for. Our goal is to continue delivering exceptional seafood products to customers both locally and nationwide.”
Angelo Ciocca, who will remain a partner in Nova Seafood LLC, expressed enthusiasm for the future. “After nearly 35 years of growing Nova Seafood, I am excited to join forces with Jordan and his team. This partnership ensures our dedicated staff and valued customers will continue to receive the same level of service and quality they expect.
I look forward to this new chapter and the opportunities it brings.” Nova Seafood will continue its processing and distribution of scallops, haddock, and cod from its 18,000-square-foot facility in Portland, Maine. Importantly, all employees will be retained, preserving the company’s strong foundation and ensuring operational continuity.
Nova Seafood operates independently from Eddie M’s Seafood and has strengthened its leadership team by adding Brittany Willis and Rick Whitten, two seasoned professionals in the industry.
