Potential Presence of Listeria Prompts Recall of Frozen Waffles

TreeHouse Foods Inc. is recalling hundreds of packs of frozen waffles in the United States and Canada because of possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. Included are private label and brand name products distributed by the following grocery chains:

• Aldi’s (Breakfast Best brand)
• Dollar General (Clover Valley brand)
• Food Lion
• Giant Eagle
• Hannaford
• Harris Teeter
• H-E-B
• PriceChopper (PICS brand)
• Publix
• Schnucks
• Southeastern Grocers
• Target (Good & Gather brand)
• Walmart (Great Value brand)

Additionally, the recalled waffles were sold under some of the following brand names:
• Foodhold
• Kodiak Cakes
• Simple Truth

The issue was discovered through routine testing at the company’s manufacturing facility in Brantford, Ontario, Canada. Thus far there are no confirmed reports of illnesses or injuries linked to the recalled items.
